Our Advisory Council
Nauvoo University is being reorganized and reincorporated as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Illinois. Previously known as the University of the City of Nauvoo and the University of Nauvoo, the institution is also applying for 501(c)(3) status from the federal government. The advisory board provides strategic guidance on educational models and community engagement.
The board brings together experienced professionals from academia, business, and community leadership to help shape the university's direction.
Dr. Dell Allen
Advisory Board Member
Dr. Allen holds a BS from USU, an MS from BYU, and an Ed.D from USU in Manufacturing Engineering. He taught Engineering Technology at BYU for 35 years and at Utah State University for 13 years. He has published numerous textbooks, lab manuals, and technical papers, including a 17-volume set on the Manufacturing Process.
David F. King
Advisory Board Member
David F. King is a Senior Partner at King, King, Alleman & Jensen and resides in Nauvoo, Illinois. He brings extensive legal and accounting expertise to the board's oversight of the university's reorganization.
J. Samuel Park
Advisory Board Member
J. Samuel Park is a Utah businessman and former President of the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. His leadership experience bridges both the business community and the local Nauvoo region.
Dr. Anthony Pina
Advisory Board Member
Dr. Anthony Pina serves as Dean of Online Studies at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. He contributes expertise in distance education and academic administration to the board's work.
